I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies to support clients in understanding themselves and creating meaningful change. These include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I also believe in the power of education and strive to share information in clear, accessible ways—so clients can feel more confident, empowered, and connected in their healing process.

As a therapist, one of the most common and effective approaches I use in sessions is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or CBT. This form of therapy is evidence-based, structured, and focused on helping you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
🔍 At its core, CBT helps you:
Identify unhelpful or distorted thought patterns
Understand how these thoughts influence feelings and actions
Learn healthier, more balanced ways to think and respond
For example, if you often think, “I always mess things up,” CBT can help you recognize that thought, challenge its accuracy, and replace it with something more realistic—like, “I’ve made mistakes, but I also learn and grow from them.”
📘 CBT is especially effective for:
Anxiety
Depression
OCD
PTSD
Eating disorders
...and more.
✨ It’s not about just “thinking positive.” It’s about learning how to see situations more clearly, respond with intention, and build healthier mental habits over time.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of negative thinking, CBT might be a powerful step toward breaking that pattern.
💬 Have questions about CBT or think it might be a good fit for you? I’d be happy to chat.

If you’ve ever felt emotionally overwhelmed or struggled to manage intense reactions, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) might be a helpful path forward.
As a therapist, I often recommend DBT when someone is dealing with strong emotions, impulsive behaviours, or patterns of black-and-white thinking. DBT was originally developed to support people with Borderline Personality Disorder, but it’s now used to help with a range of challenges — including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and emotion dysregulation.
🧭 DBT focuses on balance — the “dialectic” in DBT means holding two seemingly opposite things at once.
Like:
🫱 “I’m doing the best I can”
🫲 AND
“I want to learn to do better.”💡 DBT teaches practical, life-changing skills in four key areas:
1. Mindfulness — learning to stay present in the moment
2. Distress Tolerance — surviving a crisis without making it worse
3. Emotion Regulation — understanding and managing intense emotions
4. Interpersonal Effectiveness — setting boundaries and communicating clearly
The goal of DBT isn’t to get rid of emotions, but to help you ride the waves of life with more skill, compassion, and stability.
🌊 Healing is possible — and DBT can be a powerful part of that journey.
If you’re curious whether DBT might be right for you or someone you love, feel free to reach out. You’re not alone, and support is here.

One of the most powerful truths I get to witness in therapy is this: You are not broken — you are complex.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a transformative, evidence-based approach to therapy that helps us understand and heal the different “parts” within us.
In IFS, we view the mind as made up of many parts, each with its own feelings, roles, and intentions.
✨ You might have a perfectionist part, an inner critic, a people-pleaser, or a wounded child — all working hard in their own way to help you survive and stay safe.Rather than pushing these parts away, IFS invites us to:
🔹 Get curious
🔹 Listen deeply
🔹 Build compassionate relationships with our inner worldAt the core of IFS is the Self — the calm, wise, compassionate center of who you are. From that place, true healing happens.
🛠️ IFS is especially helpful for:
Trauma and complex PTSD
Shame and self-criticism
Anxiety and depression
Identity and self-worth issues
Emotional overwhelm and inner conflict
IFS isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about welcoming all parts of you and creating space for healing from the inside out.
If you're feeling like parts of you are in conflict or you're tired of fighting with your inner critic, IFS offers a gentle, powerful path forward.
💬 Curious about how this might help? I’d be honoured to explore that with you.
